Dr. Kurtbay Optometry San Francisco

December 31, 2009

I drove over to Beautifull! at 816 Irving Street in The City yesterday to snap a photo of the sky ceiling we just did, and found out they weren’t quite open for business, yet.  So, instead, I crossed over 9th Avenue to Dr. Yunus Kurtbay Optometry, where we had previously applied a soft, golden faux finish to his walls.  After several years, the walls are still in great condition and set off his stylish eyewear extremely well.  Dr. Kurtbay came out to say hello with a friendly smile.  It’s so nice to be spreading the Master’s Touch up and down trendy Irving Street!

We are very excited about a new Venetian plaster project we are about to begin for Plexxikon, Inc., in Berkeley.  Our skilled Venetian plaster artisan Stephen Kallai has come up with several  ideas for our client, including a breathtaking technique using mica and gold and another with an elegant denim-look finish.  Check back in several weeks for some photos of the project!

Also, just in time for hungry holiday shoppers, we are creating a beautiful sky ceiling in Beautifull!, a new healthy food cafe in San Francisco.  Photos soon to come. . . .

Below is a past Venetian plaster project created by Stephen for a client’s powder room.
