Faux finishes and decorative painting for the San Francisco Bay Area and all over the North Bay, including Sausalito, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, Belvedere, Ross, Tiburon, San Rafael, and Novato. We are faux finish and mural experts!
This week we painted another mural on a stairway, this one in Mill Valley. The mural is a breathtaking view of Portofino, Italy. “Vistors to our home will now be requested to present their passports,” joked our happy clients.

And here is the sunset sky ceiling we painted in their dining room:

We also gilded a couple of niches to elegantly set off the objects d’arts of our well-traveled clients!

Finally, we added a soft limestone faux finish and some gilding to a couple of columns leading to the master bedroom to add an authentic touch:

For a client in Greenbrae we painted an Indian themed mural and Doric column along their staircase and some tromp l’oeil arches on one wall, incoporating their prized Wurlitzer jukebox!

This weekend we had dinner at the marvelous Buffet Fortuna at 800 Broadway in Oakland and were able to gaze up at Stephen’s spectacular painted skyscape as we dined:

This close-up of a decorative area around a hanging light fixture was painted by our fine artist Peta:

We have been busy working on churches! Below is St. Hilary Church in Tiburon, where we have undertaken an extensive giding project. Pictured is gilder and faux artist Stephen Kallai.

Arrgh! This young boy, now a pirate on his ship, wanted a seafaring mural on his bed room walls:

Here, a friendly, sparkling dolphin frolicks nearby!

BEFORE: Here is the “before” shot. Next week we will faux finish the white fireplace mantle to look like matching limestone.

AFTER: Voila! Here is the “after” shot. The white mantle has now magically become limestone.

This week we painted a couple of murals in the bed rooms of two young boys. One boy wanted a sports room, his brother wanted an army room.
